These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of borrowedcalm.com ("the site", "Borrowed Calm", "we", "us"), a brand operated by VIEWSPIKE LLC, a Massachusetts limited liability company. By accessing or using the site, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not accept them, do not use the site.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live if that is older, to use this site or buy any product. This site and its products are intended for adults and are not directed to children.
Educational content only
All content on this site, and every product sold on it, is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not, and is not intended to be, a substitute for professional advice. Specifically, nothing on this site or in our products is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment; mental health treatment, therapy, counseling, or crisis support; or relationship counseling or coaching. If you need professional support for any specific situation, consult a qualified licensed professional. Do not delay or disregard professional advice based on anything you read here.

Reading content on this site, buying a product, or contacting us does not create a therapist-client, counselor-client, doctor-patient, or any other professional-client relationship.
Who you are buying from
Borrowed Calm is a brand operated by VIEWSPIKE LLC. When you buy a product on this site, VIEWSPIKE LLC is the seller, and your payment is handled by our checkout and payment processors.
Terms of sale
Prices are shown in US dollars and are charged at checkout. Some offers include an optional add-on or a follow-up offer; each of those is a separate, clearly presented one-time charge that you choose to accept or decline. None of our products bill on a recurring or subscription basis. Products are delivered digitally: you receive access by email and through the link shown after purchase, so please use a valid email address.
Access to your products
Downloadable items, such as PDFs and audio, are yours to keep permanently once you download them. Interactive products delivered as a hosted web app stay available to you for as long as we offer that product, and each one includes a printable keepsake you can save to your own device. When we say "lifetime access," we mean the lifetime of the product, not a guarantee that we will host it forever: we may retire, replace, or migrate a product, and if we discontinue one you have bought we will give reasonable advance notice so you can save your keepsake first. Your access is personal to you under the license below.
Refund policy
You can request a full refund within 60 days of your purchase, for any reason. There is no test to pass. Reach us through our contact page and we will return your payment to your original payment method. Because a full refund is always available on request, please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank, so we can take care of it for you directly.
Your license to use what you buy
When you buy a product, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use it for yourself. You may not resell it, share it, post it publicly, or redistribute it in whole or in part.
What you send us
Sometimes we ask customers what they thought of a product, and sometimes people write to us on their own. If you send us a review, a testimonial, a survey answer, a comment, or any other feedback, you keep ownership of it, and you give us permission to use it.
That permission is worldwide, ongoing, and free of any payment to you, and it lets us use, copy, shorten, translate, and display what you sent, in whole or in part, on our sites and in our marketing. It also covers the first name, last initial, and general location you give us, along with anything else you choose to include, such as a photograph. We may edit for length, spelling, and clarity, but we will not edit your words in a way that changes what you meant. We are never obligated to use anything you send.
When you send us feedback, you are confirming that it describes your own honest experience, that it is truthful, that you are old enough to agree to these Terms, and that it does not contain anyone else's private or copyrighted material. Please do not send us health information or anything else you would not want quoted.
If you change your mind, reach us through our contact page and we will stop using what you sent from that point forward. We may not be able to withdraw it from materials that are already printed or already published elsewhere.
Use of the site
You agree to use the site only for lawful purposes. Prohibited uses include attempting to gain unauthorized access to the site or related systems, interfering with its normal operation, scraping or republishing site content without permission, transmitting malicious code, and impersonating any person or entity.
Intellectual property
All content on this site and in our products, including text, images, logos, layout, and code, is owned by or licensed to VIEWSPIKE LLC and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may share links to our pages and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not republish full pages, products, or substantial portions of our content without express written permission.
Disclaimers
The site and all content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that any content is applicable to your specific situation. Individual situations vary, and we make no guarantee about outcomes from reading or applying anything you buy here.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, VIEWSPIKE LLC and its owners, operators, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of (or inability to use) the site, any content or product, any decisions you make based on them, or any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory and regardless of whether we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, and in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VIEWSPIKE LLC and its owners and operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right.
Modifications
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the free parts of the site at any time without notice. For a product you have purchased, any discontinuation follows the reasonable-notice commitment in "Access to your products" above. We may revise these Terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a revision means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
Informal resolution first. Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support [at] borrowedcalm.com and give us 30 days to work the issue out with you. Most concerns are resolved this way.
Binding individual arbitration. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms, the site, or any purchase from the site that is not resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, rather than in court, except that either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court. The arbitration will be conducted on an individual basis, and the arbitrator's decision will be final and binding. Filing fees that those rules require us to cover will be covered by us.
Class action and jury waiver. You and we each waive the right to a trial by jury and the right to participate in a class action, collective action, or representative proceeding. Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity. Nothing in this section waives any right you may have to seek public injunctive relief where that right cannot be waived under applicable law, or to report issues to government agencies.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms, stating that you opt out of arbitration, by writing to us at support [at] borrowedcalm.com or by mail to: VIEWSPIKE LLC, 500 Cummings Center, Suite 6500, Beverly, MA 01915, United States. If you opt out, or if this arbitration agreement is found unenforceable, disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
